Mercedes-Benz’s first electric SUV, the EQC 400 4Matic, has been launched in India at an introductory price of Rs 99.30 lakh, on-road, for the first 50 units. This price includes the cost of the EQC wallbox charger as well. Before you can get your EQC delivered though, there will be a readiness check for the wall box to ensure a smooth ownership experience.
As far as charging is concerned, the 50 kWh DC fast charger can charge the EQC from 10-100% in 90 mins. One can even charge at over 100+ EQC compatible charging stations across the country. You can search for these straight from the infotainment system of the car. On a single charge the EQC has a range of 400 km thanks to the 85 kWh lithium-ion battery. Two asynchronous motors produce a combined output of 402 bhp and 78 kgm of torque, giving the EQC incredible acceleration.
As a part of its Phase-1 plan, the EQC will be sold across six cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai. Audi’s e-tron and Jaguar’s I-Pace will make it to India sometime in the future, but for now, the Mercedes-Benz EQC has no direct rival in India.
