That’s the facelifted BMW X4 in Black Shadow Edition trim. What’s new? It gets redesigned front and rear bumpers, slimmer LED headlights and tail lights, large kidney grilles and refreshed interiors. The good thing is that it’s available in both petrol and diesel powertrain options.
The Black Shadow Edition trim gets an exclusive all-black paint, gloss treatment on the grille, wing mirrors, exhaust pipe and wheels. Speaking of wheels, it features 20-inch light M alloy wheels along with M Sport Brakes and red callipers. Inside, it features a large 12.35-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone auto climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, to name a few. Furthermore, it offers 360-degree cameras, cruise control and adaptive suspension.
Under the hood, there are two options available. One can either go for the X4 xDrive30d powered by a 261-bhp 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine or the X4 xDrive30i powered by a 248-bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. Both the cars send power to all four wheels via an 8-speed auto gearbox. The X4 xDrive30d does the 0-100-kph sprint in 5.8 seconds, whereas the X4 xDrive30i takes 6.2 seconds. The X4 xDrive30d can be yours for Rs 70.5 lakh, while the X4 xDrive30i costs a little extra at Rs 72.5 lakh (both ex-India). Will you choose the BMW X4 over the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe?
