It’s the 50th anniversary of BMW’s M Performance division, and BMW’s celebrating it in style with ten 50 Jahre (50 Years) Editions. The BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition is the first one here and will be followed by nine more 50 Jahre Editions based on vehicles such as the 5 Series, 6 Series, M4, M5 and SUV models.
The high-gloss black kidney grille, black ORVMs and 19-inch M alloy wheels are standard on the M340i 50 Jahre Edition. Customers can select between two accessory packs. The Motorsport Pack, for example, includes an M Performance steering wheel, an Alcantara gear selector, and a matte black rear spoiler, among other things. The Carbon Pack includes carbon exterior and interior components. You can spec the M340i in either Dravit Grey or Tanzanite Blue metallic paint options.
As far as the engine goes, the M340i is still powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder twin-turbo which produces 382 bhp and 50.99 kgm of torque. The 0-100-kph sprint time still takes 4.4 seconds. For all the cosmetic changes and upgrades, the BMW M340i 50 Jahre Edition will cost you Rs 68.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Also, BMW announced plans to open M Certified dealerships in India. Similarly to Mercedes-AMG Performance Centers, M Certified dealerships will allow buyers to shop exclusively for everything related to the M brand, such as cars, accessories, and merchandise.
