Renault India has launched the 2016 Duster at a beginning price of Rs 8.5 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, for the base petrol RxE variant.
The new Renault Duster has ‘over 32 changes’ as per the literature. Of these, most are cosmetic, with the notable exception of the AMT gearbox – more on that in a bit. The new things on the new Duster include headlamps, bumpers, a grille, bumpers, tail lamps, mirror-mounted indicators, alloy wheel design, roof rails, climate control, upholstery and an electric mirror adjuster in the correct position. Undoubtedly our favourite bit of the upgrade is the six-speed AMT automatic gearbox that is available with a combination of 109 bhp engine and front wheel drive. Renault hasn’t added ESP to this variant, though. The interior feels more upmarket for sure, and the colour combination has changed to a black/brown combination that is usually a European favourite.
