BMW Motorrad has launched the G 310 RR in India, priced at Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Black variant. The Style Sport Variant is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and gets BMW Motorrad’s Motorsport livery. It is the third model from BMW in the 310 series following the G 310 R and the G 310 GS Adventure Tourer.
Essentially a rebadged TVS Apache RR 310, the BMW G 310 RR has a few cosmetic updates. This is in the form of BMW-specific colours and graphics. It retains the split headlamp set-up at the front along with the similar design of the fairing. The rear tail lamps, mirrors, golden USD forks and windscreen too have also been shared with the Apache 310. It also gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console which comes with tech such as Bluetooth connectivity.
The bike will run a water-cooled single-cylinder four-stroke 313 cc engine with electronic fuel injection. This is the same engine as on the Apache RR 310 and the BMW G 310 Twins. It delivers 34 bhp of maximum power and 2.78 kgm of peak torque. This puts acceleration figures of zero to 60 kph in just 2.9 seconds. The engine will come mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It is also equipped with four ride modes and dual-channel ABS among others.
BMW had already announced zero down payment, low monthly payments starting at Rs 3,999 and the option to fund insurance and accessories. BMW Motorrad bikes also come with a standard warranty for three years and unlimited kilometres.
