Ather Energy revamped its scooter portfolio and has introduced two new configurations of its 450X electric scooter, including a new base variant with a price tag of Rs 98,183 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The price cut means the new base variant omits features like ride modes, park assist, hill-hold assist, Bluetooth connectivity, GPS navigation and live tracking. It also does not support OTA updates, while the 7-inch touchscreen offers a more basic greyscale interface.
Ather has retained the same 3.7 kWh battery pack offering 146 km of range. The base variant does not support fast charging and is said to take 15 hr 20 mins to recharge to its full capacity. It uses the same 6.2 kW motor that helps the e-scooter to reach a top speed of 90 kph.
The Ather 450X will also be available with an add-on Pro-Pack, taking the price to INR 128,443 (ex-showroom Delhi) unlocking a host of smart features and convenience. For an additional Rs 30,000, customers get a fully-loaded e-scooter with all the features, including fast charging.
The 450X Pro Pack uses the same 3.7 kWh battery pack that powers a 6.2 kW electric motor. With fast charging, the time taken to charge the battery is just 5 hr 40 mins, which is significantly lower than the entry-level variant.
