Mahindra XUV300 (2 airbags) –

Crash test summary – For adult occupants, the XUV300 scored a score of 16.42 out of 17.00, which is extremely good. The sub-4 metre SUV provides good or adequate protection for the front two passengers. For child occupants, it scored a respectable 37.44 out of a possible 49.00. Even the bodyshell integrity was rated as ‘stable’.
Tata Altroz (2 airbags) –

Crash test summary – For adult occupants, Tata’s premium hatchback scored 16.13 out of 17.00, which is quite excellent. This too provides good or adequate protection for the front two passengers. The child occupants score is a decent 29.00 out of 49.00. The bodyshell integrity is rated as stable, like the Mahindra.
Tata Nexon (2 airbags) –

Crash test summary – Firstly, the Nexon was tested twice by Global NCAP. We’ve taken into account the latest test for this article. Adult occupant score stands at 16.06, while the child occupant one is 25.00. The Nexon’s bodyshell integrity is also rated as stable and it provides good or adequate protection for the front two passengers.
Mahindra Thar (2 airbags) –

Crash test summary – The recently launched only gained popularity with this latest crash test. Out of 17.00, the Thar scores a fairly decent 12.52 for adult occupants. However, the front two passenger protection lies between good, adequate and marginal. Bodyshell integrity is also rated as stable The off-roader claws back some of the points in the child occupant department with 41.11 out of 49.00. That technically makes the Thar the most child-friendly.
Tata Tigor/Tiago (2 airbags) –
Overall rating – 4/5

Crash test summary – For adult occupants, the Tiago/Tigor scores 12.52, while the child occupant rating is 34.15. The front two passenger protection languishes between good and marginal, but the catch here is that the bodyshell integrity is rated as unstable. Which means it would not be able to withstand more force than that applied in the test.
Mahindra Marazzo (2 airbags) –
Overall rating – 4/5

Crash test summary – Mahindra’s MPV scored a decent 12.85 for adult occupant safety and a not-so-great 22.22 for child occupant safety. Again, protection for the front two passengers lies between good and marginal. Just to be clear, there are for markers in this regard – good, adequate, marginal, weak and poor. The bodyshell integrity has been rated as stable, which is a plus.
Volkswagen Polo (2 airbags) –
Overall rating – 4/5

Crash test summary – The VW Polo was tested almost 6 years ago, which speaks a great deal. Adult and child occupant safety stand at 12.54 and 29.91, respectively. The bodyshell integrity is rated as stable, but the front two passenger protection remains between good and marginal.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza (2 airbags) –

Crash test summary – Maruti’s Brezza scores a 12.51 for adult occupant safety and 17.93 for child occupant safety. Bodyshell integrity is rated as stable, but like the Polo and few others before, front two passengers will have to make do with protection ranging between good and marginal.
