Aston Martin has ventured into unfamiliar territory with the unveiling of Dreadnought, a military-specification SUV created exclusively for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Existing purely in the digital world, the one-off concept marks the British marque’s latest move into gaming, combining its signature design language with the high-octane action of one of the world’s biggest video game franchises.
Developed in collaboration with Infinity Ward and Activision, Dreadnought is not based on any existing Aston Martin model. Instead, it has been imagined from the ground up as an uncompromising combat vehicle capable of surviving the hostile environments of Modern Warfare 4, while still feeling unmistakably like an Aston Martin.
Although free from the engineering constraints of the real world, Aston Martin says its designers approached the project as though the SUV could exist outside the game. The result is a machine that blends supercar-inspired performance with military-grade capability, wrapped in a dramatic body that carries familiar Aston Martin proportions and detailing.
According to the company, Dreadnought combines advanced armour technologies, adaptive combat intelligence systems and all-wheel drive with a naturally aspirated V12 soundtrack to deliver an experience that feels authentic both visually and acoustically. While the vehicle will never see public roads, Aston Martin wanted players to experience the same sense of occasion associated with one of its road cars, even in the middle of a virtual firefight.
The design itself is packed with references to the brand’s luxury heritage. Exterior carbon fibre features an intricate herringbone weave, while the cabin receives Oxford Tan leather trim across the dashboard and door panels. Satin Gold detailing extends to the gear selector and door hinges, creating an interior that would not look out of place in one of Aston Martin’s flagship grand tourers. These premium touches are contrasted by military-grade armour plating, integrated weapons storage and reserve fuel tanks, reinforcing the vehicle’s role as a battlefield machine.
The name Dreadnought carries its own historical significance. Beyond its dictionary meaning of “fear nothing”, it also pays tribute to HMS Dreadnought, the revolutionary British battleship that transformed naval warfare in the early twentieth century. Aston Martin says the name perfectly reflects the SUV’s role as an imposing, heavily equipped vehicle engineered to dominate hostile environments.
Players will be able to discover the Dreadnought across key locations in both DMZ and Call of Duty: Warzone game modes at launch. Aston Martin jokingly notes that while its cars are more commonly found outside luxury hotels and private residences, Dreadnought simply happens to have a rather more adventurous commute.

Infinity Ward also highlighted the close collaboration between the game’s developers and Aston Martin’s designers throughout the project. Every aspect of the vehicle, from its geometry and animations to its handling characteristics and in-game physics, was developed to ensure it behaves like a high-performance armoured SUV while remaining true to Aston Martin’s design philosophy.
For Aston Martin, the project forms part of a wider strategy to introduce the brand to a younger audience through digital experiences. By expanding beyond traditional automotive spaces into gaming, the company hopes to build familiarity with the marque among future luxury buyers while showcasing its design expertise in entirely new ways.

Dreadnought will make its first public appearance as a full-size display model at Fanatics Fest in New York on the Call of Duty stand, ahead of the global launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on 23 October 2026. Whether it eventually inspires a real-world creation remains to be seen, but for now Aston Martin’s latest machine is destined to make its mark not on the road, but on the battlefield.
