In December last year, Triumph had introduced the Rocket 3 R to India in its BS6 avatar, and now it has launched a cruiser version of it – the Rocket 3 GT. In its GT avatar, Triumph’s cruiser focuses on a more relaxed riding position and a lowered seat height. It even gets pullback handlebars and forward-set footpegs. It now comes with heated grips and a height adjustable backrest for your pillion.

On the performance side of things, the Rocket 3 GT shares its 2500cc liquid-cooled triple with the Rocket 3 R. It produces 165 bhp@6000 rpm and 22.53 kgm of peak torque at 4000 rpm. Up front, it gets a 47 mm compression and rebound adjustable Showa USD, and at the rear, it gets a Showa piggyback reservoir and remote adjuster monoshock. Stopping power is taken care of by dual 320 mm discs and four-piston monobloc Brembo callipers up front. And at the rear, a single 300 mm disc with Brembo M4.32 four-piston callipers does the job.

The Rocket 3 GT’s frame is all-aluminium, but coming in at 294 kg, it’s not light by any measure. It is only a mere 3 kg heavier than the Rocket 3 R, though for all the additional kit you get. The Rocket 3 GT can be yours for Rs 18.4 lakh, ex-showroom.
