The Kawasaki W175 is a retro model specially designed for the Indian market. The W175 is available in two variants, with the standard variant featuring Ebony paint priced at Rs 1.47 lakh. The premium variant, which comes in the eye-catching Candy Persimmon Red colour, costs Rs 1.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The special edition (the premium variant) includes red on the fender and fuel tank and gold pinstripes. The rest of the motorcycle is still black, including the spoke wheels.
Powering the W175 is a BS6-compliant 177cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 12.8 bhp at 7500 rpm and 1.35 kgm at 6000 rpm paired to a 5-speed transmission. Its suspension is handled by telescopic front forks and double rear springs on a double-cradle frame. The anchoring hardware consists of a single 270-mm petal-type rotor in front and a drum brake in back with a single-channel ABS as part of the safety net.
In terms of features, the W175 has a halogen-type headlamp, a halogen taillight, conventional turn indicators, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The W175 is in the same price bracket as the Royal Enfield Hunter and the TVS Ronin. Do keep an eye out for our review!
