The debut of the 2025 Panigale V4 made it clear that the Streetfighter was due for an update, too. It’s no secret that the Streetfighter V4 is a stripped-off version of the Panigale V4, but with the latest model, Ducati has blurred the lines between the two.
This is the first time that the Streetfighter gets the Desmosedici Stradale 1103cc V4 engine in the same configuration as the Panigale. So, every update from the supersport’s engine, including the higher valve lift, alternator and oil pump is borrowed from the Panigale V4 R while the gear drum comes from the Superleggera V4. Even the variable-length intake horns are the same as the Panigale V4.
That said, there is a 2 bhp difference between the Panigale and the 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 and that’s down to the design of the air intake. The result is a machine that puts out almost 214 bhp and 12.2 kg, while tipping the scales at just 191 kg (kerb, without fuel).
The chassis is also derived from the new Panigale, flaunting the lighter frame with reduced lateral stiffness along with double-sided swingarm. For the standard model, Ducati has deployed 43-mm Showa BPF fork and Sachs monoshock, both fully adjustable, while the Streetfighter V4 S features Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 event-based electronic suspension, with an NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock. Brembo Hypure monoblock brakes are common for both the variants.
On the electronics front, the 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 packs four riding modes, lean-sensitive traction control, slide control, wheelie control, engine brake control, launch control, bi-directional Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 system and the Race eCBS to modulate rear brake for better control. All of these functions can be toggled via the new 6.9-inch TFT console.
To complement all of the aforementioned changes, Ducati has altered the ergonomics of the bike by pulling the handlebar 10 mm closer to the rider, placing the footpegs lower, further forward and 10 mm inwards, which along with the new design of the tank makes it easy to grip the bike. The new design is similar to that of the Streetfighter V2, but of course, with more aggression on this model. The new winglets are now claimed to generate 17 kg more downforce at 270 kph.
The 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the V4 S should make their India debut by the second half of next year. Now with the KTM 1390 Super Duke R in the picture, this would make for some intense competition, right?
