Range Rover has introduced the new SV Ultra in India, positioning it as the most luxurious and technologically advanced model the brand has ever produced. Priced at Rs. 3.80 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the flagship SUV offers bespoke craftsmanship, innovative materials, and cutting-edge technology to redefine the luxury SUV experience.

The highlight of the Range Rover SV Ultra is its SV Electrostatic Sound system, the world’s first application of electrostatic speaker technology in a production vehicle. Designed to transform the cabin into a private concert hall, the system uses 21 ultra-light electrostatic transducers integrated into the headrests, seatbacks, and roof lining to create a highly immersive audio experience for every occupant.

Unlike conventional speakers, each electrostatic unit features an ultra-thin membrane measuring just 1mm thick, suspended between perforated metallic plates. This design allows the speakers to respond up to 1,000 times faster than traditional cone speakers, delivering exceptional clarity, detail, and precision with minimal distortion. Supporting the system are five bass speakers and Range Rover’s Body and Soul Seats (BASS), which allow occupants to not only hear the music but also physically feel it through subtle vibrations.

The audio experience is further enhanced by the Sensory Haptic Floor, creating a truly multi-dimensional listening environment. Owners can also choose from six BASS wellness programmes, including Calm, Relax, and Invigorating, designed to promote relaxation, focus, and overall wellbeing during journeys.

Beyond its advanced technology, the SV Ultra introduces an exclusive Titan Silver exterior finish. Created using real aluminium flakes and advanced pigments, the paint delivers a deep, mirror-like appearance inspired by liquid metal. Satin Platinum Atlas accents, Silver Chrome detailing, and bespoke 23-inch alloy wheels further distinguish the flagship model from the standard Range Rover.

Inside, the cabin adopts a leather-free approach with a new Orchid White and Cinder Grey Ultrafabrics interior. Laser-crafted mosaic seat patterns, sustainably sourced open-pore Rattan Palm veneer, gloss white ceramic trim, colour-matched speaker grilles, and exclusive SV Ultra branding contribute to the SUV’s luxurious ambience. Completing the interior are premium Kvadrat textile cushions made from a blend of wool and recycled polyester.

Powering the Range Rover SV Ultra is a 529 bhp mild-hybrid V8 petrol engine, delivering effortless performance while maintaining the refinement expected from the British luxury marque. Range Rover has also confirmed that a fully electric version of the SV Ultra will join the lineup later this year.

Commenting on the launch, Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India, said the SV Ultra represents the pinnacle of Range Rover luxury, combining exclusive design, innovative technology, and advanced material craftsmanship to deliver an unmatched ownership experience.

With its world-first audio tech, sustainable luxury materials, and bespoke design elements, the new Range Rover SV Ultra sets a new benchmark for flagship luxury SUVs and further reinforces the brand’s focus on innovation, wellbeing, and modern craftsmanship.
