Honda has just released a teaser for the 3rd Generation Honda Amaze.
Since its launch in 2013 and the release of the second generation in 2018, the Honda Amaze has built quite a fan base, with nearly 5.3 lakh units sold as of April 2023 over the past decade.
The 2018 Honda Amaze came with two engine options, catering to different driving needs. The petrol version featured a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine, delivering 88 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 11.2 kgm of torque at 4,800 rpm. It was available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic, a city favourite.
The diesel variant packed a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine, producing 99 bhp at 3,600 rpm and 20.4 kgm of torque at 1,750 rpm in the manual version, while the CVT option offered 79 bhp and 16.3 kgm of torque.
Will the same engines carry over? While the teaser photo does not reveal much, it’s safe to say the design language may change considerably. Stay tuned to Motoring World for more updates on the Honda Amaze.
