More from Motoring

The opening of the first Royal Enfield Vintage Store in the country marks the bike-maker’s foray into the pre-owned motorcycle segment. Quality-tested and certified pre-owned motorcycles will be sold through the Vintage Store. The company plans to set up 10 such outlets this year.

The company mentions that they will deal with only Royal Enfield motorcycles at the Vintage Store. There will be three lines: Pre-owned, Refurbished, and Restored. Given the price at which old REs change hands these days, the move will help ensure that buyers are putting their money on something checked and verified by trained technicians.

Needless to say, genuine motorcycle parts will be used, and every motorcycle here will have to go through a 92-point quality check, before being put on sale. The store will also offer financing options, insurance, warranty, and even service for the pre-owned products sold via the channel.

There will also be a standardised process for both sale and purchase of motorcycles at the Vintage Store. The first of its kind is located on Velachery Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai.
