As part of its global growth agenda, TVS Srichakra is all set to form an international subsidiary by acquiring the business of Super Grip Corporation USA, a Tennessee-based tyre manufacturer formed in 1984 that caters mainly to the industrial tyre segment.
This move sits in line with TVS Srichakra’s plans to expand its international portfolio and enter the off-road tyre business. Additionally, the Indian tyre manufacturer has also invested in a new facility at its plant in Madurai, which will double the production capacity of off-road tyres. This investment will be directed largely towards global markets, which is where the maker of TVS Euorgrip tyres looks to strengthen its business.
