Kia India has announced the introduction of new automatic transmission options for the Carens Clavis value trims, making automatic mobility accessible to a wider set of customers. The expanded line-up introduces the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with DCT on the HTE (EX) and HTE (O) trims, along with a 1.5-litre diesel engine with automatic transmission on the HTE (O) trim.
The HTE (EX) turbo-petrol DCT is priced at ₹15,21,900, while the HTE (O) turbo-petrol DCT is priced at ₹14,66,900. The HTE (O) diesel automatic is priced at ₹15,81,900 (all ex-showroom).
Beyond the convenience of automatic transmission, the new variants bring a suite of features through the Automatic Pack, including Smart Key with Motion Sensor, Push-Button Start, Drive Modes, Electronic Parking Brake and Remote Engine Start.
Commenting on the introduction, Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Marketing & Sales, Kia India, said, “Automatic transmissions are increasingly becoming an important consideration for Indian customers as they look for greater comfort and convenience in their everyday mobility. With the introduction of new automatic options on the Carens Clavis value trims, we are making this convenience accessible to a wider customer base across both turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains.”
The expansion responds to the evolving preference of Indian customers towards automatic transmissions, particularly for the convenience they offer in everyday urban driving conditions. The addition of these variants extends automatic transmission options across a broader part of the Carens Clavis line-up, providing greater flexibility to choose between turbo-petrol DCT and diesel automatic powertrains at more accessible price points.
Designed around the requirements of modern Indian families, the Carens Clavis brings together premium comfort, practicality, technology and convenience in a versatile package.
