More from Motoring

It may just be me, but the Bullet 350 has been the one motorcycle whose keys I reach for more often than any other in my parking lot. Am I getting attached? It sure feels like it, but that doesn’t bode well for my RX 100 which seems to see less action as the days go by. Blame it on a few repairs that it needs for it to get back to its regular hooliganism.

Anyway, I have been doing a little bit of heavy lifting, namely the front end of the Bullet, since I have nothing else to practice my one-wheeled balancing acts for the time being. Sore shoulders and a few cramped fingers scream something about it being a bad idea, but every time that wheel is pointing upwards, it is nothing less than a feeling of zen. When not angled towards the sky, it does quite a good job of filtering through rush hour traffic and the gearbox is one of the smoothest offered by Royal Enfield. Never thought I would ever say that. That’s a good thing, right?

This gearbox is one smooth unit

Keep in mind, it has now done a sacred pilgrimage down the coast to Goa and has been the recipient of only a clutch cable change. Simple maintenance at its peak (as of now). I still can’t truthfully say that it is a motorcycle that I would buy, but given the opportunity, I sure wouldn’t mind stealing one. Now where did I keep that ol’ ‘get out of jail free’ card?
