The Kia K4 was revealed at the 2024 New York Auto Show, with the GT trim priced just shy of $27,000. Here is what should be known about the Kia K4 after the launch.

A choice between powertrains will be offered, with a 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 190bhp and 26kgm of torque, and a 2-litre four-cylinder engine producing 147bhp and 18kgm of torque. Both powertrains will be mated to an eight-speed automatic variable transmission system.

The Kia K4 will be available in 5 trims namely;  LX, LXS, EX, GT-Line, and GT-Line Turbo.

The suspension system is a carry-over from the previous Kia Forte with the Torsion-beam rear suspension on lower trims, the Kia K4 is longer and wider than the Forte. The GT trim will receive a multi-link rear suspension with a more sophisticated setup. Details of this are yet to be known.

Kia’s driver assistance comes in the form of ADAS, including rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keep assist, forward collision warning and avoidance, etc. As teased previously, we also know that the car will have a full vertical LED headlamp, taillamp, and indicator system.

The GT line will receive 18-inch alloy wheels, a satin chrome beltline, a unique front grille, gloss-brown mirror caps, window trim, and side sills.

Interior colours may vary depending on the chosen trim. Medium Gray is offered on the LX, LSX, and EX, while Slate Green is an option on the EX trim. The GT trim will feature Onyx and Off-white interiors with a dual-tone finish.

The K4 employs Haram Kardon audio with an available upgrade. Other community features such as smartphone mirroring and Android and Apple connectivity are standard across all trims. The Kia K4 will also support smartphone car unlock using a digital key.

The GT line will feature trim-exclusive ventilated seats, memory seat functions, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, another 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen system, and a small 5-inch screen for climate control operation.
