Tata Motors has introduced five new variants to its Nexon compact SUV lineup. With the addition of these variants, the Nexon petrol-AMT range now commences at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) for the Smart+ trim, while the diesel-AMT versions start at Rs 11.80 lakh for the Pure trim.
Under the hood, the Tata Nexon houses a 120bhp, 17kgm, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 115bhp, 26kgm, 1.5-litre diesel unit. The petrol variants offer multiple gearbox options, including 6-speed AMT, 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. On the other hand, the diesel variants are available with 6-speed manual and AMT gearboxes.
The newly introduced Tata Nexon AMT variants encompass three trims: Smart+, Pure, and Pure S.
In terms of features, the base Tata Nexon Smart+ variant offers an array of features, including LED Daytime Running Lamps, a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, four speakers, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, drive modes, six airbags, ESC, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
The Pure trim features full-LED headlamps and tail lamps, roof rails, rear AC vents, touch-based HVAC controls, wheel covers, a knitted roof liner, a 4-inch digital instrument cluster, and voice commands.
The Pure S Nexo variant also features a sunroof, auto headlamps and wipers, and an electrochromic rearview mirror.
