With its parent firm having undergone an identity change, it was only a matter of time before Skoda’s Indian subsidiary too implemented it. The Czech car maker is now revamping its corporate image, and it says that India will be the fastest country to rebrand all its facilities with the latest identity.

Skoda’s new identity makes use of new typography based on symmetry, an extension of the Modern Solid design language that has been in place since 2022. According to Skoda, the new typography ‘conveys solidity in combination with round shapes and borders conveying fluidity.’ This also means that the famous ‘winged arrow’ logo will be replaced by Skoda lettering, similar to what we’ve seen on the Vision 7S concept. Moreover, the new corporate identity also allows illumination adjustment based on what time is it; during the day, the solid lettering lights up Emerald Green, while it switches to vibrant Electric Green at night. Skoda Auto India is also working on non-product engagement strategies to improve its digital reach, as well implementing digitisation in its showrooms.

In other news, Skoda is gearing up for the launch of its compact SUV, rivalling the likes of the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and the Nissan Magnite among others. The baby Skoda will derive the 1.0-litre three-cyl engine from the Kushaq and Slavia, and we can also expect it to be a great handler. However, more shall be known about the baby Skoda in the months to come.
