Skoda Auto India has officially launched the much-anticipated Kylaq, a compact SUV that promises to redefine the segment. The Kylaq is offered in four variants: Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige.

Classic: Rs 7.89 lakh
Signature: Rs 9.59 lakh (Manual), Rs 10.29 lakh (Automatic)
Signature Plus: Rs 11.40 lakh (Manual), Rs 12.10 lakh (Automatic)
Prestige: Rs 13.35 lakh (Automatic)
Engine and Transmission
Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India said, “The all-new Kylaq marks the advent of a New Era for the Škoda brand in India. Škoda Kylaq will be a gamechanger not just for us, but for the segment, and will democratise European technology on Indian roads, alongside redefining the customer experience.”
“We have announced the best-in-segment ownership experience for the first 33,333 customers,” he added.
The Kylaq comes with a single engine option: a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine that delivers 114 bhp and 18.15 kgm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The manual variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in 10.5 seconds and has a top speed of 188 kph.
Fuel Efficiency
Skoda claims that the manual variant of the Kylaq is one of the most fuel-efficient compact SUVs in the segment, with a fuel efficiency of around 20 kpl. The automatic variant is expected to deliver slightly lower fuel efficiency, around 18-19 kpl.
Design and Features
The Kylaq boasts a bold and toned xdesign, with sharp lines and a sporty stance. The interior is well-appointed, with features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The higher variants get additional features like a sunroof, wireless charging, and a premium sound system.
Safety Features
Safety is a top priority for Skoda, and the Kylaq is equipped with a host of safety features, including multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.
