The Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe has followed not long after the reveal of the regular CLE lineup that broke cover earlier this year. This car is said to combine the agility of the C-Class and the space and status associated with an E-Class, essentially aiming to offer the best of both worlds. As such, the Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe gets its own set of upgrades to differentiate itself from the regular CLE lineup.

The Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe looks superb in this shade!

On the outside, it has that trademark Panamericana grille, along with the sharply-cut headlights, and the A-shaped front apron, giving it a muscular yet sporty appearance. The alloy wheels are 20-inch units finished in a tasteful dark shade. Moving to the rear, the AMG CLE Coupe gets a light strip connecting the tail lights, along with a purposeful looking apron with twin tailpipes on either sides.

Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG CLE Coupe, like most modern AMGs, bids farewell to the V8 powertrain, and is now powered by a 3-litre, inline six-cylinder twin-turbo engine, paired to a 48V electric system. This powertrain is an upgraded version of the M 256 series engine, and it puts out 442 bhp and 57.10 kgm of torque. The electric system provides an additional 22 bhp and 20.9 kgm of torque, albeit briefly. There’s also 61.18 kgm of torque available in Overboost for 12 seconds. Triple digits appear in 4.2 seconds, and it maxes out at a top speed of 250 kmph.

The interiors bear resemblance to other AMG cars

The interiors of the AMG CLE Coupe resemble most AMG cars, with the 11.9-inch infotainment screen taking centrestage, along with a 12.3-inch digital cluster with background settings. There’s also 64-colour ambient lighting on offer, along with the Panamericana flat-bottomed steering wheel. Drivers can choose from five different driving modes, along with three modes for the suspension settings. The AMG CLE Coupe also benefits from a rear-axle steering among other things.

The rear looks purposeful!

Mercedes-Benz has not commented on the possibility of bringing the AMG CLE facelift to India, but given how it has been offering us newer models, the car maker could likely be considering it. However, we shall wait for the official announcement before saying anything else.
