With prices ranging from Rs. 10.35 lakh to Rs. 12.90 lakh, Mahindra has launched the new XUV300 TurboSport in India (ex-showroom, India). The latest, highest-spec engine for the XUV300 is the 1.2-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol unit, which replaces the previous 1.2 turbo-petrol and 1.5 diesel engines. This new engine is available in three trims — W6, W8, and W8 (O).

This three-cylinder direct-injection turbo-petrol engine develops a class-leading 128 bhp and 23.45 kgm of torque. An overboost function can give you access to 25.49 kgm when the go pedal is mashed. It is 20 bhp and 3.05 kgm more than the older 108-bhp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol powerplant. For now, the XUV300 will be available in the new and old powerplants. Also, it can now cover the 0-60-kph sprint in 5 seconds.

On the cosmetic front, it gets a new gloss black grille with red inserts and blacked-out treatment on a few chrome pieces on the front bumper’s central air intake. You can even spot the new Twin Peaks logo and blacked-out ORVMs. Inside, you’ll get an all-black setting with red stitching on the upholstery and silver accents on the dash and steering wheel. You still get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and dual-zone climate control. Other features include an electric sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and six airbags, among other things. Bookings and deliveries will start from the 10th of October.
