The recently revamped Ford EcoSport can now be specified with a petrol MT powertrain in the fully loaded TItanium+ trim. The new variant is priced at Rs 10.47 lakh, ex-showroom.
Earlier available only with the CVT gearbox choice, the new Ford EcoSport (P) Titanium+ is powered by the company’s new 1.5-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 121.3 bhp and 15.3 kgm. The reduction in the number of cylinders might have not brought down the power but it has helped the company achieve lower CO2 emissions (by a good 7 per cent) and a claimed fuel economy of 17 kpl. With the 5-speed manual gearbox, the EcoSport (P) is more engaging to drive.
And now a bit more feature-rich, too. On the Titanium+ variant, apart from the features offered on the lower Titanium trim, the EcoSport gets side and curtain airbags (hence taking the total to a strong six) and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Ford India’s VP Marketing, Rahul Gautam said, “Since new Ford EcoSport was introduced, our customers have been demanding a top-of-the-line Titanium+ petrol manual variant, offering enhanced safety with six airbags. In our commitment to meet customer demands, we are pleased to introduce this variant and offer a great choice to our customers.”
