Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia, the two-time MotoGP world champion has, just before the opening race of the 2024 season, confirmed to remain with the Italian outfit for another two seasons.
The 26-year-old two-time champion won his MotoGP podium in 2020 at his home race in Misano Adriatico. He was later promoted to the factory team riding the Red Ducati Lenovo machine, finishing in runner-up position ending his 2021 season. As luck would have it, the next year of 2022 would be his first MotoGP world champion title. He would also be an Italian to win on an Italian bike, which Ducati has not had in over a decade.
The 2023 season was another great year for the 26-year-old Italian who clinched his second-world title in MotoGP, dominating the track and championship.
With the 2024 opener just days away, Pecco has signed a two-year extension agreement with Ducati. Pecco has stated that he is happy to remain with the team of his dreams. The Ducati colours for him are an honour and he believes that they will continue to achieve great success for the years to come.
