A voluntary recall was initiated by India Yamaha Motor for their 125cc hybrid scooters manufactured in the first week of January.

The scooter in question the Ray-ZR 125 and the Fascino 125, both were found with possible defects in the brake lever causing possible issues while riding.

MotoGP edition RayZR

The Ray-ZR 125 is powered by the 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with fuel injection technology. This puts out a maximum output of 8 bhp at 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 1.05 kgm at 5000 rpm recently updated with hybrid technology, the current price is between Rs. 89,530 to 93,530. The Fascino is the more family-friendly scooter, offering a neo-retro design, while sharing its powertrain with the Ray-ZR. The current price is Rs 91,030 (ex-showroom).

Yamaha India stated that the recall was initiated by Japan Yamaha Motor the parent company and has assured that the replacement of parts shall be done free of any cost.
