Hero MotoCorp has completed the auction for its collector’s edition motorcycle, “The Centennial.” This bike honours the legacy of the company’s Founder, Dr Brijmohan Lall Munjal.

The Centennial is powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled engine which is shared with the Hero Karizma. This means this bike produces 25bhp of maximum power and a torque output of 2kgm. While this would not be accurate as the Centennial features a full titanium exhaust system by Akrapovic.

Additionally, the bike features a lightweight aluminium swingarm and carbon fibre body panels. The bike is also a solo seat with a carbon fibre cowl and special edition numbered badging marks.

With only 100 units produced, the auction was open and restricted to only dealers, suppliers, business associates, and employees who saw bids up to Rs. 20.30 lakh for a CE100. A total of 75 units in auction amounted to Rs. 8.58 crores.

The remaining 25 bikes will be displayed at Hero facilities and awarded through contests to employees and customers. Here is where it gets interesting for you, the reader.

In a unique AI-powered contest, over 118 million Hero customers will have a chance to own one of these historic motorcycles. The contest involves two phases: participants first submit photos and stories about their Hero product’s impact to myheroforever@heromotocorp.com.

Gen AI will then create visual representations of each Hero journey. Participants will use an AR filter called ‘#MyForeverHero’, to craft and share videos on social media.

A panel will select the most compelling story as the winner.
