Classic Legends shared a skeleton image of a single-cylinder engine, and its design gives away the British bike maker’s identity. It is fairly obvious that the Gold Star will be the first BSA for India, since that is the only motorcycle it currently produces. The Gold Star is a retro motorcycle with looks inspired by the DB34 from back in the day. Its 652 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 45 bhp and 5.6 kgm of torque. The double-cradle chassis is suspended on 41 mm forks and 5-step preload adjustable twin shocks, while Brembo discs have been deployed on both ends for stopping power.

At 1,425 mm, the BSA Gold Star has a slightly longer wheelbase than the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, and it also weighs 5 kg lesser than the RE, with the scales tipping at 213 kg. However, the Gold Star gets a 17-inch wheel at the rear, while the Interceptor gets 18-inch wheels on both ends.

The covers shall be taken off on August 15; are you excited? In the meantime, you should check out this ‘old story‘ ft. an OG BSA Gold Star and a Honda CB750!
