Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the all-new Dio 125 in India. Boasting a sporty front design with an edgy headlamp and a sleek position lamp it also gets a dual outlet muffler which is claimed to produce a unique sporty exhaust note.

It features a modern tail lamp with a new split grab rail, wave disk brake with alloy wheels, fresh new graphics and a bold new logo. The fully Digital Meter provides 3 real-time informatics, namely Range, Average Fuel Efficiency and Real-time Fuel Efficiency. The meter also displays details like Trip, Clock, Side Stand indicator, Smart key and battery indicator, ECO indicator and Service Due indicator with a malfunction light.

The OBD2-compliant Dio 125 is powered by a 125cc PGM-FI engine boosted by Honda Enhanced Smart Power (eSP), which optimizes energy output by maximizing efficient combustion and minimizing friction with a silent start and a smooth eco-friendly engine. It further comes with an Idling Stop System that automatically switches the engine off at brief stops, and can easily be re-started with a simple twist of the throttle. It also gets a side-stand engine cutoff system.

The Dio 125 gets a Telescopic Suspension with a 12-inch front wheel, offering a high ground clearance of 171 mm. It also gets a Combi-Brake System (CBS) with Equalizer and 3-step adjustable rear suspension. It gets an 18L under-seat storage space and an additional front pocket. The H-Smart variant comes with a Lock Mod which facilitates 5 in 1 function (lock handle, ignition OFF, fuel lid open, seat open and ignition ON) without the need to insert a physical key.

Priced at Rs 83,400 for the Standard variant and Rs 91,300 for the Smart variant (both ex-showroom), Honda could be looking at giving the TVS Ntorq and the likes of it a run for their money. HMSI is also offering a special 10-year warranty package (3 years standard + 7 years optional extended warranty) on the all-new Dio 125.
