Honda has launched the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports in India, for a starting price of Rs 15.96 lakh (ex-showroom, India). FYI, that price is for the manual transmission variant, while the DCT (automatic) comes in at 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). First things first, both these variants have seen a significant price hike from the 2020 model year. For that, buyers get two new colour schemes – Darkness Black Metallic (MT) and Pearl Glare White Tricolor (DCT).
However, other than that, the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports pretty much remains the same as the 2020 model year. It’s still powered by the recently updated 1,084cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 98-bhp and 10.50-kgm of torque. The 2020 model also came with an updated swingarm and frame, which reduced the overall weight of the Africa Twin. Speaking of which, the DCT is 10 kilograms heavier than the manual, tipping the scale at 249 kilograms.
Other notable features include heated grips, wheelie control, cornering ABS, rear-lift control, cruise control, cornering lights, new 6.5-inch TFT display with Apple CarPlay compatibility, six-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), tubeless tyres, 24.5-litre fuel tank and a whole, whole lot more. Currently, there are just five BigWing outlets across India (soon to be seven) where the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports is available for purchase.
