The Ducati DesertX is the Italian brand’s unique approach to a big ADV to fool around with. And with the DesertX Rally, things have gotten even better.
2024 Ducati DesertX Rally: Hardware That Matters
With the Rally version, Ducati has used a 48 mm KYB closed-cartridge fork with adjustable compression and rebound. There are internal changes to the tubes to improve the ride experience when off-roading. At the back, a fully-adjustable KYB monoshock handles the job. Furthermore, there’s also an Ohlins steering damper to ease your worries when fooling around with the bike.
The DesertX Rally also comes with lighter wheels. With a billet aluminium centre, carbon steel spokes and Excel Takasago rims dropping half a kilo of unsprung mass, the Rally should be hoot to fool around with.
2024 DesertX Rally: Small But Significant Changes
The Italian marquee has used machined fork clamps, adjustable machined foot controls, and of course the high-mounted front fender to complete the look. And yes, the exclusive Iron Giant livery is perfect to show the DesertX Rally’s intentions.
Ducati will start disbursing the DesertX Rally across the US, Canada and European markets from early next year. Expect the bike to grace the Indian shores in the second half of the year. And though we are excited to see this bike here, we are a little bummed that Ducati hasn’t let Indian journos get a taste of the standard DesertX yet.
