Carrying forward the legacy of the GW-9000 and GW-9300, Casio has now launched its latest entrant in its ‘Master of G series’, while also partnering with Toyota. Called the G-SHOCK Mudman GW-9500TLC-1, it takes inspiration from the Toyota Land Cruiser, and is engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions, along with dust, mud and snow.
Priced at Rs 24,995, the G-SHOCK Mudman is a digital watch built on a carbon core guard structure. The sand-colored band is printed with a black splatter pattern, reminiscent of tracks left behind by racers in the desert. The bezel components are made of stainless steel, which is a first for a GW-9500 model. The G-SHOCK Mudman also incorporates Team Land Cruiser Toyota Auto Body (TLC) colours; blue, white, and red, while the team logo is displayed on the band and the back of the case.
In terms of features, the Casio G-SHOCK Mudman comes with a digital compass, a thermometer, energy saving mode, solar-powered battery, automatic LED illumination, and sunrise/sunset time for specific dates among other things.
