Hyundai Motor India has introduced an Assured Buyback Program for the Creta Electric, aimed at addressing one of the biggest concerns among potential electric vehicle buyers: future resale value. Under the new program, customers can avail a 60 per cent assured buyback value for up to three years or 45,000 km, offering greater confidence and financial assurance throughout their ownership journey.
The Hyundai Creta Electric is currently the brand’s most accessible EV in India, with prices ranging from Rs. 18.03 lakh to Rs. 23.67 lakh (ex-showroom). Through this initiative, Hyundai aims to make electric mobility more appealing by reducing uncertainty around long-term ownership costs and resale value.
Commenting on the launch, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India, said that the next phase of EV adoption in India will be driven not only by technological advancements but also by stronger customer confidence. The Assured Buyback Program reflects Hyundai’s confidence in the Creta Electric’s quality, reliability, and long-term value proposition, while complementing the company’s wider EV ecosystem strategy.
The new program is part of Hyundai’s efforts to create a more comprehensive electric vehicle ownership experience. Alongside assured resale value, the company has introduced its Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model for the Creta Electric, allowing customers to reduce the initial acquisition cost. Under this model, battery usage costs start at Rs. 3.9 per kilometre, offering greater flexibility for EV buyers.
The Creta Electric is offered with two battery pack options, a 51.4 kWh long-range battery and a 42 kWh standard-range battery. The long-range version delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 510 km, while the standard-range variant offers up to 420 km. The SUV also supports DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 10 to 80 per cent in approximately 39 minutes.
In terms of features, the Creta Electric comes equipped with Hyundai’s SmartSense Level 2 ADAS suite, Digital Key technology, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, and a claimed 0-100 kph acceleration time of 7.9 seconds in the long-range variant.
Hyundai is also expanding its charging ecosystem to improve EV ownership convenience. Through the myHyundai app, customers can access more than 30,000 charging points across India. The company currently has 183 DC fast charging stations across 105 cities and plans to increase this number to 600 stations by 2030.
With the new Assured Buyback Program, flexible ownership solutions, and expanding charging infrastructure, Hyundai aims to make the transition to electric mobility easier and more reassuring for Indian customers.
