BMW India has once again raised the bar in the luxury sedan segment with the launch of the much-anticipated 3 Series Long Wheelbase (LWB) in India. Priced at Rs 62.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model is designed to cater to the growing demand for spacious and premium vehicles in the country. The 3 Series LWB combines BMW’s signature driving dynamics with enhanced comfort, making it a compelling choice for luxury car enthusiasts.

The highlight of the 3 Series LWB is its extended wheelbase, which adds 110 mm to the standard model, offering significantly more legroom for rear passengers. This move aligns with the preferences of Indian buyers, who often prioritize comfort and space, especially in the luxury segment. The increased rear space ensures a first-class experience for passengers, making it ideal for both chauffeur-driven owners and families.

Under the hood, the 3 Series LWB is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 254 bhp and 40.78 kgm of torque. Paired with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, the car promises a smooth and exhilarating driving experience. The engine is tuned to offer a perfect balance of performance and efficiency, ensuring that the car remains agile while delivering impressive fuel economy.

In terms of design, the 3 Series LWB retains the sporty and elegant aesthetics of the standard 3 Series but adds subtle touches to emphasize its premium positioning. The interior is a blend of luxury and technology, featuring high-quality materials, ambient lighting, and a host of advanced features. The car comes equipped with BMW’s latest iDrive 7.0 infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen display. Additionally, it offers wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, and a Harman Kardon surround sound system, ensuring a luxurious experience for all occupants.

Safety is a top priority for BMW, and the 3 Series LWB is no exception. It comes with multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, and BMW’s Driving Assistant suite, which includes lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and parking assist.

The launch of the BMW 3 Series LWB in India reinforces the brand’s commitment to the Indian market. With its blend of performance, luxury, and practicality, the 3 Series LWB is set to redefine the luxury sedan segment and attract discerning buyers looking for a premium driving experience.
