KTM India has launched the special edition RC 390 and RC 200 models in our market. Inspired by the KTM RC16 MotoGP racing bikes, these special editions come wrapped in MotoGP livery from the KTM Tech3 outfit. They have an all-orange paint scheme with a contrast black livery comprised of the Premiere Class team’s sponsors. KTM has even darkened off the exhaust system and alloy wheels. Also, the bikes now get smoked windscreen.
Mechanically, there’s no change on both bikes. The RC 200 runs on the same 199cc engine, while the RC 390 uses the same 373.2cc engine. Sumeet Narang, President of Bajaj Auto Ltd., commented, ‘The fully faired KTM RC motorcycles have a strong and growing contribution to the KTM portfolio. The next-gen KTM RC range has brought in younger and performance focused customers, helping us strengthen our position in the premium performance motorcycle segment. The special GP edition launched today complements the aggressive performance bias of the motorcycle with a livery that showcases its racing genes.’
Prices for both bikes remain constant. The RC 200 GP Edition costs Rs 2.15 lakh, and the RC 390 GP Edition costs Rs 3.16 lakh (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
