Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., today announced the name of its much-awaited SUV, bearing the project codename Z101, as the all new ‘Scorpio-N’. This big, bold SUV will bolster its reputation as the ‘Big Daddy Of SUVs’ and is slated to arrive on the 27th of June 2022.
The current Scorpio which has evolved over the last two decades as an iconic and a cult brand will continue as the ‘Scorpio Classic’. The Scorpio-N will redefine the D-segment SUV category and is engineered from the ground-up to meet the aspirations of the young and tech-savvy customers looking for a full-size authentic SUV.
Tough, yet sophisticated, the all new Scorpio-N is also a prime example of the Mahindra SUV DNA. It is a head turner with a bold and imposing design and commanding driving position. The Scorpio-N also boasts of premium interiors and comes loaded with a host of advanced modern features and the latest technology.
The new Scorpio-N will be powered by spirited petrol and diesel engines, with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions. In keeping with its adventure capabilities, it will also be offered with a 4×4 option.
The SUV is set to raise the bar on unmissable presence, thrilling performance, adventure capability, and safety, built on a new body-on-frame platform. It is slated to take on the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Nissan Kicks, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Harrier as well as the Jeep Compass in the Indian market.
