Land Rover is all set to reveal the new eight-seat Defender 130 on the 31st of May 2022. Its 4×4 family will expand with the introduction of the Defender 130 model, which will join the existing Defender 90 and Defender 110 models. Previews of the SUV indicate a design for shared exploration and adventures across any terrain.

The SUV will be ready for any adventure with a premium interior setup for up to eight occupants, across three rows of seating. With a spacious 2-3-3 seat configuration, the latest digital technologies and advanced integrated chassis technologies, the new Defender will be a tough, capable off-road machine.

The car will debut as the biggest version of the current-gen Defender, measuring 5.1 metres long, compared to the 4.7-m Defender 110 and the 4.3-m short-wheelbase Defender 90.

The Defender 130 will take on major three-row SUVs globally including the Audi Q7 and BMW X7, and is likely to come at a significant premium over the 90 and 110. The Defender 130 will also come with multiple engine options ranging from turbo-petrol units to diesel mild-hybrid powertrains. All current model Defenders have an 8-speed automatic gearbox and permanent four-wheel drive.

Stay tuned for the unveiling on 31st of May, and we will bring you all the details including variants, features, pricing and also availability.
