Bentley has just revealed the new S variant of the GT and GTC, featuring an array of cosmetic changes. This is the fifth variant of the current-gen grand tourer and will go on sale alongside the Mulliner, Speed, Azure and standard Continental GT.
The S variant retains the same 4-litre V8 engine that produces 542 bhp and 78.5 kgm of torque. It also comes fitted with a sports exhaust as standard. The new variant also gets Bentley’s Dynamic Ride 48V anti-roll system. It features electric motors within the anti-roll bars to help control body movements during hard cornering.
On the exterior, the S variant sees the use of darkened chrome on the grille, light surrounds and door and window trim. The trademark winged B badge on the bonnet still comes finished in regular chrome. Buyers can further choose either 21-inch or 22-inch wheels, also featuring a darkened finish.
The vehicle’s interior features dual-tone upholstery, combining Dinamica and leather across surfaces. The instrument cluster gets performance-focused graphics derived from the W12 Continental GT Speed. The seats are fluted, with the option of quilting, and the ‘S’ emblem embroidered on the headrests. The Bentley wings can also be embroidered as an alternative. It gets a metal S signature badge on the fascia and illuminated Bentley treadplates with the ‘S’ device replacing the Bentley Motors Ltd plaque.
