The Tork Kratos R has been around for nearly a year, and there’s always been the talk of range anxiety around electric vehicles in general. Tork Motors has now taken a step to resolve that by adding a new ECO+ mode in the Kratos R. But hold on, you might point out that there was already an ‘eco’ mode in the Kratos R, so how is this any different?

For starters, while the current ‘eco’ mode gave the Kratos R a claimed range of 120 km, Tork Motors claims that the ECO+ mode extends this range further, giving it more than 150 km of claimed range, thus helping it reach closer to its IDC claimed figure of 180 km on a single charge. The ECO+ mode also limits the top-speed of the electric motorcycle to 35 kmph. This increases the number of riding modes available on the Tork Kratos R from three to four, which include eco, ECO+, city, and sport. This new riding mode will also be available for existing users as well.

The rest of the electric motorcycle remains unchanged, as it retains the same sharp design, and the electric motor that churns out 12 bhp and 3.8 kgm of peak torque. Backed by a 4 kWh Li-ion battery pack, the Kratos R gets a claimed range of 180 km on a single charge. The battery pack receives fast-charging as well, with a claimed time of one hour for a 20 to 80 per cent charge. A normal home charge will take six to seven hours for a full charge.

How much does the Tork Kratos R cost? The answer is Rs 1.67 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). What’s our take on it? Find out here!
