MotoHaus, the Kolhapur-based company that has introduced the Brixton brand in India will soon be launching the Crossfire 500 Storr. At the last year’s launch event, the brand had confirmed that the ADV will be joining the Crossfire 500 X and the Crossfire 500 XC soon, and looks like we won’t have to wait much longer.

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr uses the same 486cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin motor as the other two Crossfire 500 bikes. Even the power and torque figures remain unchanged at 46.9 and 4.3 kgm respectively. Heck, the tubeless wire-spoke rims, tyres, brakes and the seat height are the same as its siblings. In all likelihood, the suspension too has not been tinkered with. And our experience with the Crossfire 500 XC tells us that this isn’t a bad thing, either. So, what’s new in the Storr?

The design, of course. The Storr’s tall windscreen, the fairing that not only incorporates the headlight but also the indicators and auxiliary headlights, the bigger 16.5-litre fuel tank, and the flat, long seat should make it comfortable for long hours on the saddle.

And for added convenience for touring, there’s provision to mount a tank bag and a USB charger on the handlebar. Plus, there’s an option to switch off the ABS at the rear wheel and the traction control completely. Furthermore, there’s a big vertical full-colour TFT display.

Considering the Crossfire 500 XC’s price tag of Rs 5.19 lakh, the Storr shouldn’t cost more than Rs 5.60 lakh (both ex-showroom prices), making it fit right between the likes of the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure on the lower side and the Kawasaki Versys 650 on the upper side. Oh, and we should have the CFMoto 450 MT, too, by then.
