Originally launched here back in 2021, the Kawasaki Z650RS has remained unchanged since then. However, it did receive a 50th anniversary variant sometime in 2022. The Japanese bikemaker has now revealed the 2024 Z650RS, which again, stays true to its originally-launched self, but it sees a few tweaks here and there.

Firstly, the 2024 Z650RS receives a new metallic matte carbon grey paint scheme. The second addition is traction control, or Kawasaki’s KTRC system, which includes two modes. The first mode is meant to aid traction in corners, helping riders get maximum acceleration while getting in and out of corners. The second mode is meant to avoid excessive wheelspin, particularly in wet conditions or certain rough road patches. This mode can also be turned off. Apart from this, it retains the dual-channel ABS, a positive neutral finder, and a gear position indicator.

Underneath the retro looks, the modern mechanical components have not been tinkered with, such as the 649 cc parallel-twin engine, with 67 bhp and 6.5 kgm of torque on offer. The slightly-altered suspension from the Z650 has also been retained, with a pre-load adjustable rear monoshock and 41 mm USD front forks.

Kawasaki hasn’t mentioned any plans of bringing the 2024 Z650RS to India yet, but we expect the Japanese bikemaker to make an official announcement in the coming months.
