Reise Moto continues to expand its line of riding gears with the introduction of its first in-house helmet — the Helden. Priced at Rs 3499, this is one of the most affordable helmets amongst brands like MT, SMK and the premium ones from Steelbird and Vega.

Interestingly, despite the affordable pricing, there’s a lot that the Reise Helden has to offer. The helmet is not just ISI-approved, but also complies with ECE 22.05 and DOT standards. Though ECE 22.06 is the latest standard, most helmets in India comply with 22.05 and at this price almost none comply with the international standards.

The helmet uses a polycarbonate shell and has been designed in Europe but keeping Indian conditions in mind. Hence, there are four vents at the temple and chin for ventilation and exhaust vents at the rear. Heck, there’s a spoiler, too, although that may serve little more than being an aesthetic add-on. Considering the price and the intended audience, Reise has given this helmet a micro-metric fastener instead of a Double-D ring. And at 1.5 kg, this is not a heavy helmet, either.

With the introduction of this helmet, Reise Moto now has helmets ranging from Rs 3499 for the Helden all the way up to Rs 48,800 for the Airoh Commander 2 touring helmet. Right from half-face helmets to off-road and touring helmets, Reise has them all. Oh, and with the introduction of the Nexx brand, Reise will soon have an FIM-certified lid.
