What is it?
It’s a chain cleaner and lube duo by Hiker with pretty straightforward names… except for ‘Green’ labelled on the chain lube.
Is it any good?
As long as the chain is not rusted and has been cleaned and lubed at regular intervals, the cleaner does its job just fine. That said, you might end up using almost the entire 100 ml in two sessions. But a clean, shiny chain does have some bragging points, doesn’t it?
You are curious about the ‘Green’ on the lube, too, right? Is it an environmental thing or is it just a green-coloured lube? Yup, it’s the latter. Didn’t expect that, did you? But it’s not completely green, either. It has a fluorescent green, almost radiator-fluid-like hue, but doesn’t stay on the chain like that. If you do off-roading quite often, this may not last long enough. In fact, this one’s not for monsoons, and should work better in dry conditions. One spray has lasted about 350 km before the chain feeling dry again.
Is it expensive?
The cleaner costs Rs. 230 for a 100 ml can, while the lube demands Rs. 215 for 150 ml. Not really on the expensive side, but unless you are looking for a budget-friendly street use-only thing, you might want to explore other options.
