Unveiled globally earlier this year, the Aston Martin Vantage has made its way to India, coming in at a price tag of Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom). The British car maker didn’t take too long, and we are impressed!

The Vantage’s workhorse, a 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine has been massaged, now generating 655 bhp and 81.57 kgm of torque, which is about 152 bhp and 11.72 kgm more than before. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph and maintain a top speed of 325 kph.

The Vantage also receives Active Vehicle Dynamics, Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, and an Electronic Rear Differential (E-diff), all contributing to optimal grip and agility on the road. Bespoke 21-inch Michelin Pilot S five tyres also elevate the car’s performance capabilities. The car sports an in-house developed 10.25-inch touch screen, compatible with both CarPlay and Android Auto, while also retaining tactile buttons for chassis settings, ESP, exhaust settings, lane assist, and parking assistant among other things.

In terms of design, the new Vantage is inspired by the muscular contours and styling cues of Aston Martin’s legendary One-77 supercar, from its re-contoured grille to its wider wheel arches.

Amedeo Felisa, Aston Martin’s Chief Executive Officer, expressed the brand’s commitment to preserving the legacy of the Vantage name, underscoring its enduring appeal to enthusiasts seeking exhilarating power and precision handling. Felisa highlighted the car’s adherence to high-performance standards, achieved through a meticulously engineered front-engine, rear-wheel-drive chassis, designed to provide an unparalleled driving experience.

Roberto Fedeli, Aston Martin’s Chief Technical Officer, emphasized the seamless integration of cutting-edge technology to enhance the driving experience without detracting from the essence of driving.
