A slightly updated version of the Nissan Micra has been launched in India, ahead of the festive season when the ability and willingness to splurge on new cars sees unprecedented heights. The hatchback continues to be available in two versions: the previous generation Micra Active and the current Micra.

Both cars are now available with an all-black interior, while the colour palette for the models also gets a new Sunshine Orange paint. That’s in addition to the five colours available already. The changes will be available at no extra cost to the buyer.

Re the all-black interior, the Micra gets a piano black finish for the centre console and other black-coloured bits like door trims and seat fabric. The Micra Active on the other hand gets a black instrument cluster and black seat fabric.

To recapitulate, the Micra is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the latter gets a 5-speed manual as standard, the petrol engined model is available with a CVT automatic transmission
