Our favourite vehicles from the Jaguar Land Rover stables are the ones worked on by its devilish Special Vehicle Operations (SVR) unit, and thus we’re happy to report that you can now get yourself a new Range Rover Sport SVR here.

Under its hood is an enormous 5-litre supercharged V8 petrol engine, with 567 bhp, 71.3 kgm of torque and a thundering exhaust note. The engine is mated to an eight-speed torque converter automatic with paddle shifters, and the SVR will race to 100 kph from standstill in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is limited to 280 kph, which is probably a good thing for a vehicle this big.

The RR Sport SVR, based on a lightweight and very strong all-aluminium architecture, gets a host of chassis and design upgrades. The cabin is chock full of perforated Windsor leather and brushed steel elements, with the SVR logo displayed proudly on the seat head rests. A 19-speaker, 825-watt Meridian audio system accompanies the raucous noises coming out of the exhaust pipes (but we’d say the pipes win). All it’ll take to put one in your garage is Rs 2.19 crore, ex-showroom India.
