After the Gloster and the Astor, MG Motor India felt that the world should also see the Hector’s dark side. With prices ranging between Rs 21.24 lakh to Rs 22.75 lakh (ex-showroom), the MG Hector Blackstorm receives black treatment inside out with red inserts for contrast, while retaining the same mechanicals.

The MG Hector Blackstorm embraces its dark spirit (cosmetically), starting with the Starry Black paint scheme, complemented by dark chrome treatment on the grille, badging, skid plates, and side cladding. The headlamp bezels are further finished in black as well, with the surrounds receiving red inserts, while the tail lamps have been given smoked-out treatment as well. The 18-inch alloy rims also get all-black treatment, with red brake callipers for contrast.

The MG Hector Blackstorm receives all-black interiors

The Blackstorm theme continues inside as well, with an all-black leather upholstery mixed with gunmetal grey inserts on various interior elements. The rest of the interior remains identical, with the Hector Blackstorm retaining the 14-inch touch screen infotainment system and the overall layout. The set of features on offer includes wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, voice commands, smart key with sharing abilities, dynamic turn indicators, and other connected car features.

It also retains the same set of powertrains as before; the 1.5-litre petrol and the 2.0-litre diesel. However, while the petrol can only be had with the CVT, the diesel offers you a proper 6-speed manual transmission.

MG Motor India also has other interesting plans for the Indian market; you can see all about that right here!
