Italian carmaker Maserati has launched the 2018 Quattroporte GTS in India. With that, the company has ensured its Indian customers get their Quattroporte GTSs at the same time as global deliveries. The car is available in GranSport and GranLusso trims, with an average price of Rs 2.7 crores.
It’s powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that makes 522 bhp@6500-6800 rpm and a max torque of 72.44 kgm. Mated to an 8-speed automatic ZF-sourced gearbox, the engine helps the car achieve a top speed of 310 kph, with 100 kph barrier crossed in a mere 4.7 seconds.
The GranSport trim adds sporty styling, and can also be specified with carbon package. The GranLusso version is more about luxury, and some added chrome. The same bits are covered in Piano Black on the GranSport.
Irrespective of your chosen trim, there are standard bits like adaptive full LED headlamps, six airbags, an 8.4-inch touchscreen system (complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), and a 10-speaker Harman Kardon system.
You can also choose a more powerful 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, among other optional extras. Because like any self-respecting flagship car, the Quattroporte GTS also comes with a customisation list.
Brace yourself for jealous colleagues and friends, though.
