Maruti Suzuki has launched its most expensive car, the Invicto, in its Indian lineup. Yes, this is a rebadged version of the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV. Unlike Toyota, Maruti Suzuki is only offering the Invicto in strong-hybrid powertrain options and is available in three variants — Zeta+ (seven-seater), Zeta+ (eight-seater), and Alpha+ (seven-seater).
What’s different, then? Not much, but it has a few things to set it apart. For instance, the hexagonal grille and LED headlamps are slightly different. Also, the front bumper is redesigned and has a faux skid plate. At the back, it gets a slightly different tail lamp design and sits on 17-inch alloys.
Powering the Invicto is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid engine that produces 183 bhp and is mated to an e-CVT. This can also run on pure electric mode, and Maruti claims a mileage of 23.24 kpl. In terms of features, the Invicto offers a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a powered driver’s seat and ventilated seats in the front, among others.
As for the price, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto starts from Rs 24.79 lakh for the Zeta+ (seven-seater) variant and goes all the way up to Rs 28.42 lakh (all prices ex-showroom) for the Alpha+ (seven-seater) variant. Would you pick the Maruti Suzuki Invicto over the Toyota Innova Hycross?
