Land Rover has launched the replacement of the Freelander, the Discover Sport. It will be available with a 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that generates between 148 bhp and 188 bhp. New for the current model is the nine-speed automatic gearbox that is making its debut in this model. Warranty is a claimed best-in-class, at 3 years/1 lakh km and a three-year service pack is complimentary.

The top-spec variant will sport electronically adaptive suspension damping, a panoramic glass roof, adaptive Xenon headlamps, a full-size spare wheel, a tyre pressure monitoring system and an 8″ touch screen sat-nav Meridian system with 17 speakers and surround sound, and a rear entertainment system as well.

It will be available in seven exterior colours and is assembled in Land Rover’s facility in Pune, Maharashtra. Prices as given below:

 

TD4 S 5-seater: Rs 46.1 lakh

TD4 SE: 5-seater Rs 51 lakh/ 7-seater Rs 52.5 lakh

TD4 HSE: 5-seater Rs 53.34 lakh/ 7-seater Rs 54.83 lakh

SD4 HSE Luxury: 5-seater Rs 60.7 lakh/ 7-seater Rs 62.2 lakh
